Greetings from the Seven One Seven Flying Disc Club. We are a group of local volunteers dedicated to the promotion and growth of the sport of disc golf. Disc golf is a low impact outdoor activity that is exhilarating and challenging for all skills and athletic abilities. Played much like traditional ball golf, the object is to get your disc in to the raised target in the fewest number of throws. With over 2,000 courses nationwide, disc golf is rapidly becoming the fastest growing sport you have never heard of. The enthusiasts who play disc golf come from all demographics. Disc golf is an all-inclusive sport, the ease of play and low financial burden appealing to the athletic, the competitive, the outdoor enthusiasts and people of all ages.
We are fortunate to have a beautiful course, Whispering Falls in Antrim Township Community Park, located in our own backyard. Put in with a large volunteer effort and the full support of Antrim Township, Whispering Falls is a technical yet fair course for new players and veterans alike. In its first three months of opening, the course drew in over 100 individual players, from as far away as Florida, Massachusetts and Alaska.
In August, we are hosting the Whispering Falls Harvest, the first event in course history to be sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association. Attendance for the event is expected to exceed sixty-five, with approximately twenty being residents of Greencastle and the surrounding areas.
We are seeking your support in this exciting next step for Whispering Falls. Your sponsorship will allow us to provide a top-notch experience for all tournament attendees, ensuring their return for future events and cementing a place in their minds for those that support the game for which they are passionate. Your tax-deductible sponsorship will also provide you with a means to reach perhaps an entirely new demographic, one that is staunchly loyal to its supporters. For your sponsorship, you will receive an ad of your design in the tournament program, a logo on all tournament fliers and mention in all tournament meetings.
